Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of heavy equipment and transportation assets to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This role supports a diverse fleet that includes forklifts ranging from 6,000 lb. capacity to Versa Lift 100/140k units, diesel tractors (Kenworth, International, and Freightliner), and trailers such as Landoll, RGN, and flatbed configurations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Depending on operational needs, the Mechanic may specialize in diesel, industrial, or material‑handling equipment while demonstrating versatility across all assigned machinery.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
The Mechanic will primarily work in a mechanical shop environment that may or may not be climate controlled. Possible exposure to low-lit areas or high levels of noise. Some work in outdoor environments with exposure to inclement weather; may access work via rough or uneven terrain. Performance of work will require General Physical Activities - actions that necessitate the frequent use of hands, arms, legs, and moving the entire body; will climb, crouch/stoop, bend or balance as needed, and will handle, move, or lift objects of varying weights or shapes up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of the senses involving speech, sight, sound, and touch.
