Mechanic
Location: Coopersville, MI

Wolf Creek Landscape Services LLC is looking for a Mechanic who can help keep our trucks, trailers, tractors, and equipment ready to work. We operate across landscape maintenance, construction, specialty mowing, and snow/ice management, so downtime costs money. We need someone who can troubleshoot, solve problems, and take pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, solid 12-volt electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently instead of just guessing at them.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, tractors, and landscape equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair 12V DC electrical systems
- Use a multimeter confidently to identify and solve electrical issues
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Handle drivetrain, belt, pulley, and related equipment troubleshooting
- Work through mechanical issues with logic, speed, and accuracy
- Help reduce downtime across field operations
Qualifications
- Strong 12V vehicular electrical knowledge
- Ability to use a multimeter for troubleshooting
- Solid diagnostic and problem-solving ability
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's license and insurable record
- Chauffeur's license, or willingness/ability to obtain one quickly
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Basic hand tools are preferred. Employees may use personal basic hand tools if available; company-provided specialty tools and service vehicle are supplied
- Welding experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and diagnostic approach preferred
- Experience with systematic troubleshooting is preferred
- Experience with landscape, mowing, or light/heavy equipment fleets
Pay & Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 Employment
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, with seasonal overtime as needed
- Pay: $20 to $35 per hour, depending on experience, diagnostic skills, and job-related qualifications
