JOB CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME

LOCATION: Edinburg, Texas

JOB DESCRIPTION

Broadband Telecom Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to maintain, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment for the Edinburg market location.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fleet vehicles & construction related heavy equipment
• Minimum of three years of maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fleet vehicles & construction related heavy equipment
• Knowledgeable in various types of vehicles and construction related heavy equipment including bore machines, trenchers, forklifts, back hoes, bucket trucks, and trailers
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to maintain and ensure company safety procedures are followed

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

• Perform work and provide subject matter expertise on all fleet vehicles and construction heavy equipment
• Communication with BTS leadership on heavy equipment maintenance & repair
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to resolve them in a timely, efficiently, and safe manner
• Restore fleet vehicles and construction heavy equipment as needed
• Provide system improvement recommendations for equipment as needed
• Maintain preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Offer technical leadership on equipment technology
• Ability to take directives from reporting Manager and execute according to instructions
• Enforce all company wide policies and safety regulations
• Must lift and carry 50 pounds and/or push & pull 50-pound loads at a time
• Position requires exposure to outside elements
• Must be able to travel to different market locations
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and provide general assistance to other employees as directed
