The Mechanic/Maintenance Technician is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT drug & alcohol procedures, must be available to report to work during regular business hours and must be available after hours to respond to emergencies and/or highway conditions.  Reporting to the Shop Foreman and/or Equipment/Facilities Superintendent, the Maintenance Worker performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds.

Hours:  Winter hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Summer hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., based on a 40-hour workweek with opportunities for overtime. Schedules may fluctuate due to seasonal demands and workload, so flexibility is required. Employees must be available for after-hours call-ins to respond to emergencies or highway conditions, with the ability to answer calls within 15 minutes and report to work within 45 minutes.

Seeking a candidate with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of building systems, be mechanically inclined, and possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. This position performs building and grounds maintenance as well as some limited equipment maintenance.
