We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. The successful candidate should have strong mechanical skills and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities: 

  • Repair Ready Mix Concrete Trucks, Block Trucks, Heavy Equipment and other motor vehicles as needed.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance of equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple mechanic duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform routine vehicle/equipment maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle/equipment components.
  • Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle/equipment to company operations.
  • Provide daily written reports of services/repairs performed.
  • Comply with safety regulations, maintain work area safe, clean and orderly work areas.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. 

     

    Qualifications: 

     
    • Minimum 3 years experience as a truck mechanic; ASE certifications preferred but not required. Must have own tools.
    • Working knowledge of specialized tooling and shop equipment. Some welding experience.
    • Working knowledge of vehicle hydraulics, electrical systems, engine, transmission, drive axles and brakes.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Self-starter able to work with others or by themselves.
    • Be able to complete tasks within specific deadlines and be detail-oriented.
