Job Duties
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair work.
- Gather, organize, and return tools, parts, and equipment needed for repairs.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, including lubrication, fluid checks, and filter replacement.
- Clean and prepare vehicles, equipment, and work areas before and after repairs.
- Load, unload, and transport parts and materials as needed.
- Remove and install basic components under the direction of a mechanic.
- Inspect equipment and report visible damage or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used shop supplies.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA regulations.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist mechanics with additional shop duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous mechanical, automotive, industrial, or construction experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
