Hunter offers $36.75 as the starting rate with opportunities for advancement in level and pay. This position is for our 1st shift 7:00am- 3:30pm.
As a HVAC Mechanic, ability to observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
What Youll Do:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Adjusts machine parameters and perform calibrations per equipment documentation as needed.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts as needed to keep production equipment running.
- Initiates purchase requisition orders for parts and machines.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment with the use of prints, meter, and machine documentation.
- Operate welding equipment as necessary.
- Must be able to operate forklift, crane, and tow motor to transport materials as needed.
- Must have ability to read blueprints, schematics, and/or manuals as a guide for repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties, including greasing and cleaning of machinery.
- Comply with Hazard Communications program requirements and safety requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What Youll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance and / or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must score Silver or higher on NCRC/Work Keys exam.
- 2+ years' experience in manufacturing facility in a maintenance technician or repair role is ideal.
- The ability to observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts; installing special functional and structural parts in devices; Lubrication and cleaning of parts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance and / or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- HVAC certification and / or 5+ years of experience in HVAC field.
