Job Description
Mechanic II
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duties:
Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and systems
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and repair:
- Mechanical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Power transmission equipment
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, adjust, and reassemble complex machinery and components
- Utilize diagnostic instruments, precision measuring devices, and specialized tools
- Conduct equipment inspections and post-repair operational testing
Read and interpret:
- Maintenance manuals
- Mechanical drawings
- Schematics
- Manufacturer specifications
Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term corrective solutions
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and special projects
Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced mechanics
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures
Required:
- Ability to independently diagnose and repair moderately complex equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and specifications
- Experience using diagnostic tools and precision measuring equipment
