MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will PM, inspect, repair, assemble and installvarious typesof equipment
Repair electrical beds
Inspect/repair vertical/horizontal transportation
Repair pneumatic tube system
Must be able to recognize and correct conditions which require maintenance work such as conveyors, laundry, and dietary equipment
PMvarious typesof equipment (exhaust fans, laundry equipment, dietary equipment, battery emergency lights, etc.)
Diagnose problems and order materials/parts for repairs to equipment
Willing to help andassistother mechanics/trades as necessary
Move materials upon request from all departments
Mustbe accessible for emergency maintenance calls.
Shallobserve safety rules and regulations at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
High School diploma/GEDorwork experienceequivalent
Hospital/Commercial experience preferred
Skill in the use of hand and power tools used in installations, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds
Five or more years of experience preferred
