Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a passion for keeping systems and facilities operating at their best? At Meriter Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Mechanic III to ensure that our equipment systems and buildings are maintained to the highest standards-providing a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

What Youll Do

As a Mechanic III, youll play a critical role in maintaining our hospitals physical infrastructure. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
  • Troubleshooting and repairing or replacing a wide range of equipment.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance by maintaining facilities to meet healthcare and business occupancy standards.
  • Specializing in an area based on your experience and facility needs (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance).
  • Responding to work orders and emergencies to ensure a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or as a mechanical technician-preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or general building systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent facility needs or rotating on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a Mechanic 2 or maintenance-related service work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school graduate with two years formal education in a mechanical field.
  • 1-3 years health care related experience.
