Job Description
ALNYE Trucking (dba Nye’s Truck Repair & Wash) is seeking an experienced mechanic to join our team at our Moravia location. This is a full-time, night shift position with on-call responsibilities and occasional travel to service calls.
We’re a family-oriented company offering a competitive wage and benefits package. Prior mechanic experience is preferred.
Requirements
- 1+ year of mechanic experience (Preferred)
- Valid NYS Driver’s License (Required)
- Willingness to travel (Approx. 25%)
- On-call availability, including weekends & overtime
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance/repair
- Schedule and coordinate preventive/emergency services across Moravia, Cortland & Utica terminals
- Transport vehicles, tools, or parts as needed
- Maintain and track inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Knowledge of tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to manage paperwork and fleet management software
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
