Do you take pride in fixing what others can't and keeping equipment running like new? At McGill Restoration, our fleet is the backbone of the work we do and we're looking for a skilled Mechanic to keep it in top shape.

This isn't just oil changes and tire rotations. You'll work on everything from heavy-duty trucks to construction equipment to small engines. One day you might be diagnosing a tough repair, the next you're running a DOT inspection or getting called out for a field service. If you like variety, problem-solving, and seeing your work directly impact the success of a team, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform DOT inspections for trucks and trailers
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and equipment
  • Handle scheduled maintenance to prevent downtime
  • Join the on-call rotation for service calls
  • Work closely with Equipment & Compliance Manager to keep repairs on track and budgets accurate
  • Keep our shop organized, safe, and efficient
  • Order parts and ensure quality standards are always met

If you're ready to put your skills to work in a place where two days aren't the same, we'd love to hear from you! Even if you're not fully skilled on everything, apply anyway!

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in similar capacity
  • Possession of valid driver's license with reliable transportation to/from shop
  • Basic knowledge of gas and diesel engine mechanics, hydraulic systems, and spray systems (industrial painting equipment), preferred
  • Capability to work overtime hours including weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Ability to demonstrate use of tools, both hand and powered
  • Effective problem-solving skills under very limited supervision

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Extensive standing, stooping, walking, reaching, handling, and grasping with repetitive motions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Work in all weather conditions in an outside setting for longer periods of time

Benefits/Culture

As part of the McGill Restoration team, some of the benefits you will have access to are:

  • Medical insurance, with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Company paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match (vested 100% immediately)
  • PTO
  • Paid Sick Time
  • Up to 6 paid holidays
  • Safety and performance bonuses
  • Company provided PPE
  • Quarterly McGill Way awards
  • Loyalty awards for tenure
