Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy concrete cutting operation. As the company Mechanic, you will repair and maintain all of the company vehicles and equipment.
You will be responsible for setting up and running an organized shop. This will include setup and maintenance of a preventative maintenance program.
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with fellow employees, to get to the bottom of equipment and vehicle issues they might be experiencing to ensure operations run smoothly and without disruption.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment coming into the shop
- Carry out routine vehicle and equipment maintenance tasks
- Maintain an organized shop and work area
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program
- Conduct in-depth vehicle and equipment inspections
- Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to operations manager in an easy-to-understand manner
- Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
- Strong organizational skills are required
