Position Overview

In this role youll help to inspect repair service and maintain gasoline diesel powered and electronically operated mobile equipment. Youll learn the inner workings of each piece of equipment become an expert at what you do and expand your skillset by working on new equipment each day. Youll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage $26.00/hr - $33.00/hr DOE w potential overtime
Note: Wage scale for position is the full wage scale an individual can make based on performance experience and seniority throughout their time at the company.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Functions
• Analyzes malfunctions and repairs rebuilds and maintains equipment. • Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects. • Dismantles and reassembles equipment using hoists and hand tools. • Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. • Replaces defective engines and subassemblies such as transmissions. • Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency. • Must be able to operate all equipment. • May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment. • Performs record keeping of time and parts used on the appropriate forms. • Performs general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas. • Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of vehicles. • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material. • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions. • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications
• Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance attendance and punctuality. • 1 -2 years of experience. • Experience with diesel trucks. • Experience with trailers and air brakes. • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing. • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA MSHA DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations. • Demonstrates the ability to work independently without direct supervision. • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors Truck Drivers Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees. • Demonstrates the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. • Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks. • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. • Ability to work weekends and all shifts during busy season. • Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls. • Must have a valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree GED preferred. • Previous fleet equipment experience preferred.
