Position Summary

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles to ensure optimal safety, performance, and reliability. You'll work closely with maintenance and operations teams to reduce downtime and keep our fleet on the road.

Key Responsibilities of a Mechanic:

Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative services on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Complete oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot vehicle concerns and implement effective repair solutions.
• Identify and address potential problems before they become major repairs.

Vehicle Inspections

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Verify compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Document inspection findings and recommend necessary repairs.
• Ensure vehicles meet all quality and safety requirements before returning to service.

Fleet Support

• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to maximize vehicle availability.
• Prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to and assist with emergency repairs when needed.
• Support fleet performance, safety, and reliability goals.

Documentation & Recordkeeping

• Maintain accurate repair orders, maintenance records, and service reports.
• Document inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all records are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Shop Safety & Organization

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and shop resources.
• Assist with inventory management and maintenance of shop equipment.

What We're Looking for as a Mechanic:

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable work ethic and strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
• Experience working on high-volume fleet vehicles.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and modern vehicle technologies.
