    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various types of diesel/heavy equipment to keep them in safe working condition. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.

    This role helps maintain and repair heavy equipment and trucks to keep them safe and working properly. You’ll work with a team to learn basic mechanical skills and assist with repairs.

    The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    1. High school diploma or GED
    2. Some post-secondary education in the diesel technician field or related experience a plus.
    3. Interest in mechanics, diesel engines, or equipment repair
    4. Willingness to learn and follow instructions
    5. Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one)
    6. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime or weekends
    7. CDL is a plus but not required

    DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES 

    1. Assist with basic maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
    2. Help inspect equipment to find issues or needed repairs
    3. Use tools and equipment safely (training provided)
    4. Learn to read manuals and follow instructions for repairs
    5. Help clean and organize the shop and work areas
    6. Complete basic paperwork or repair logs with guidance
    7. Work with team members and ask questions to build skills
    8. Follow all safety rules and procedures
    9. Responsible to provide own basic hand tools, pneumatics and some specialty tools. A tool allowance is available.
    10. Performs other duties as assigned.
