    Description

     PRIMORIS POWER DELIVERY IS ON POINT IN 2026 

    With over 70 years of operating experience, Primoris Power Delivery services include engineering and design, installation and maintenance, material and equipment procurement, repair of electrical transmission, distribution, substation, wireless communication, and storm restoration. Our experience ranges from small engineering and consulting projects to multi-million dollar turn-key distribution, substation, and transmission line programs.

           We are seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to support Power Delivery operations in Raleigh, NC.

     

    Position Summary

    Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain company equipment and fleet assets, including vehicles, trailers, aerial equipment, and heavy machinery. This role supports safe and efficient operations by ensuring all equipment is maintained to company and project standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet and equipment
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, gasoline, and diesel systems
    • Safely operate hand and power tools
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
    • Complete work in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
    • Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and materials
    • Report to and assist supervisor as needed
    • Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment
    • Support shop and occasional field/mobile repair work, including travel as required
    • Work overtime as needed based on operational demands
    • Collaborate with team members and work independently with minimal supervision
     
    Work Environment & Conditions
    • Shop-based with occasional field work
    • Exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and rain
    • Work on uneven terrain, confined spaces, and varying elevations
    • Exposure to noise, machinery, and potential chemical substances
     
    Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in automotive, truck, or heavy equipment maintenance
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
    • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
     
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in automotive or heavy equipment
    • ASE and/or Fluid Power Society certifications
     
     Additional Requirements
    • Ability to pass post-offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation
    • Must comply with all job site safety requirements (PPE, client-specific policies, etc.)
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
    • Travel, including overnight and out-of-state, may be required
