The ideal candidate is punctual self‑motivated hardworking and committed to maintaining accurate repair records. Join a strong team of dedicated professionals in a positive fast‑paced and supportive work environment.This position is Monday to Friday with a start time of 600 am and will include weekends as required.What Youll DoInspecting and DiagnosingInspect motor in operation road test motor vehicle and test diesel engine systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.Inspect and test mechanical units such as engines transmissions axles and brake systems to locate faults and malfunctionsDiagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.Adjustments and RepairsAdjust repair or replace parts and components of truck and trailer systems including fuel system air systems tank plumbing and valves ABS brakes steering and suspension engine and drive train emission control and exhaust cooling and climate control and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment.Adjust repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis frame cab body engine and drive train air brakes steering and fuel hydraulic electrical and electronic systemsAdjust repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural brake and electrical systems.Routine MaintenancePerform scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes lubrication and tune ups.MiscellaneousReview work orders and discuss work with supervisor.Advise drivers on work performed general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.Complete reports to record problems and work performed.Skills & ExperienceCDL license preferredAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testProficient with hand toolsSolid understanding of preventive maintenance proceduresSafety-consciousPhysical dexterityFamiliarity with electrical systemsKnowledge of hydraulic systemsEffective communicatorProblem solving skillsAttention to detailBenefit HighlightsHealth&8211 We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical dental and vision coverage along with a variety of ancillary options such as accident critical illness life insurance flexible spending accounts health savings accounts and short-term disability.
