Install and upfit vehicle equipment such as toolboxes, racks, lighting, cameras, PTOs, liftgates, and auxiliary systems
Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and schematics
Fabricate and modify brackets, mounts, and components as needed
Wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, switches, and controls
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and proper operation
Maintain accurate service and installation records
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Communicate with supervisors regarding job status, parts needs, and repair recommendations
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in vehicle mechanics, upfitting, or fleet maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, if applicable)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Basic welding or fabrication skills preferred
Comfortable working in a shop and outdoor environment
Shop and field-based work
Exposure to noise, grease, and varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and kneeling
