LINK Staffing is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Sugar Land, TX. This is a 1st shift, temp-to-hire role paying $20.00/hour.

This position is a good fit for someone with hands-on mechanical assembly experience who can read drawings, use tools, measure parts, and build mechanical components accurately.

You will assemble parts into finished units or subassemblies, check fit and alignment, inspect finished work, and help keep production moving safely and accurately.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble mechanical parts into finished units or subassemblies

• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures

• Gather the parts, materials, and tools needed for each build

• Use hand tools and power tools to fit, fasten, align, and adjust components

• Take measurements to check proper fit and alignment

• Select, adjust, or modify parts as needed to meet specifications

• Inspect finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and defects

• Perform basic testing and inspection to verify product quality

• Track production quantities, time, and productivity information

• Identify and report damaged parts, material issues, defects, or assembly problems

• Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and safe

What We’re Looking For

• 3 to 5 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or technical work instructions

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Able to check parts for fit, alignment, quality, and accuracy

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Able to follow assembly procedures and work instructions

• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and crouch during the shift

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with heat exposure

• High school diploma or GED required
