Title: Mechanical Assembler (2nd shift)

Location: Charlotte, NC 28273

Shifts & Pay Rate: 2nd Shift - Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM ($27.88/hr. + $2.00/hour shift premium)

2nd Shift Benefits:

• 4-day work week (4 x 10-hour shifts)

• $2.00/hour shift premium in addition to the regular pay rate

Join AVL Manufacturing, a global leader in power and energy solutions serving commercial and defense industries. AVL is expanding its U.S. operations and is looking for a skilled Machine Builder to join its growing Charlotte team.

What You'll Do

• Assemble generator enclosures, piping, structural components, and industrial equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Tape Measure Test is a must

• Install tanks, frames, generators, panels, and related components

• Operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment

• Perform inspections and ensure quality standards are met

• Support equipment installation, service, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Experience in mechanical assembly or heavy industrial manufacturing

• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and technical documents

• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool experience

• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Preferred

• ISO 9001 manufacturing experience

• Generator (genset) or large industrial equipment assembly experience

• Service technician background
