Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for motivated and experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in Akron, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or fabrication experience who thrive in a hands-on environment.

Join a reputable company that specializes in custom-engineered production machines for the tire and rubber industries. In this role, you will assemble components into sub-assemblies and final products, preparing them for finishing and painting. This position offers steady work on a 1st shift schedule with opportunities to grow within the company.

Hours:
06:00 AM – 04:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Pay:
$16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete sub-assembly and/or final assembly of products or components
  • Disassemble test-fit products and prepare for painting
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble components or products
  • Clean metal frame assemblies with lacquer thinner for painting prep
  • Clean weldments using a grinder and paint thinner for finishing
  • Press bearings, hang housings, push hoses on air cylinders, and glue magnets to magpots
  • Assist other departments and functions as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in production or assembly in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with assembly or manufacturing processes in similar industries

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience

Other Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work on-site at our Akron location
