We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler – Chillers to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling industrial chillers, portable chiller units, and related subassemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, bills of material, shop orders, and work instructions
Job Description:
Assemble industrial and portable chillers and related components.
Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, alignment, piping, and component installation.
Braze copper piping and complete leak-free joints to quality standards.
Bend and fit pipe and tubing as required for chiller assemblies.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and material-handling equipment safely.
Inspect completed work for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot assembly, fit-up, and design-related issues and work with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve them.
Maintain accurate job documentation, material identification, and organized work areas.
Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
Safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment when trained and authorized.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of mechanical or manufacturing assembly experience required.
Industrial equipment, refrigeration, brazing, or pipefitting experience preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Demonstrated copper brazing and pipefitting skills.
Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and components preferred.
