Now Hiring: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Cranberry Township, PA

Schedule: 7am-3:30pm

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our Production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on mechanical assembly of automated machines and systems designed and built in-house. This position involves working with piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, and structural components. Occasional travel to customer sites for installation may be required based on experience level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble automated machines and systems using blueprints, BOMs, and verbal instructions
  • Gather and install components such as pumps, valves, instruments, motors, heat exchangers, and pneumatic/hydraulic devices
  • Work with small-diameter piping, tubing, hydraulic hoses, and mechanical fittings
  • Operate hand and power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, saws, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Perform light structural assembly, such as mounting beams and supports
  • Use precision measuring tools and read drawings to accurately place and align components
  • Assist with temporary setups including floor stands, piping spools, and wire trays
  • Perform basic carpentry to brace machines for shipping
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Travel up to 20% (voluntary), including occasional weekends or holidays for installation support

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motor systems
  • Familiarity with crimping hoses, bending tubing, and threading pipe
  • Touch-up painting or finishing skills a plus
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings and ability to identify errors or discrepancies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent skilled trade background)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power tools
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force when tightening fasteners or fittings
  • Reliable work ethic, strong communication skills, and ability to work in small teams
