What You'll Do

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a key role in building and integrating custom mechanical systems from the ground up. Working from detailed drawings and schematics, you'll assemble high-quality equipment, install system components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical systems according to customer specifications and production drawings.
• Install and connect pneumatic, hydraulic, and coolant systems using technical schematics.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Document assembly processes and maintain accurate project records.
• Collaborate with engineering, machine assembly teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
• Support project planning by assisting with timeline estimates and reviewing completed work to improve future forecasting.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Full mechanical assembly experience, preferably in CNC machinery or custom equipment manufacturing.
• Experience performing electrical wiring from diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment and quality verification processes.
• Heavy mechanical assembly or machine building experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Clean, temperature-controlled, and well-lit facility.

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Scheduled breaks throughout the day

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
