Mechanical Assembler / Production Team Member
Location: Elmhurst, IL Pay: $18–$23/hour Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Are you mechanically inclined and looking to build a long-term career with a growing manufacturer? We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler / Production Team Member to join a clean, organized, and team-oriented production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work hands-on assembling industrial process equipment while developing valuable mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
What You'll Do
Assemble custom industrial process water chillers and related equipment
Fit and braze copper tubing
Assemble brass fittings and piping components
Wire basic electrical components and assemblies
Read and interpret piping diagrams, wiring schematics, and assembly drawings
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Preferred Experience
Experience fitting and brazing copper tubing
Ability to wire basic electrical components
Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience assembling piping, fittings, and related components
Ability to read wiring schematics and piping drawings
Knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus
Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
