Title: Mechanical Assembler – Industrial Equipment
Location: Ewing, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

About the Role
A well-established industrial equipment manufacturer in Ewing, NJ with over 60 years in business is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to build industrial cleaning machines from the ground up. You will work from blueprints and assembly drawings in a clean, organized indoor shop environment with consistent Monday through Friday hours. This is a mechanical assembly role — if you are someone who likes building things, working with your hands, and taking pride in a finished product, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components, frames, and industrial equipment subassemblies per blueprint specifications
  • Install mechanical fittings, brackets, panels, and basic plumbing connections including pipes, valves, and fittings
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments daily
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings independently
  • Verify measurements, tolerances, and part fitment using calipers and micrometers
  • Perform mechanical testing and inspection of assembled units before shipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following 5S guidelines
  • Complete work orders, inspection logs, and production documentation accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams when assembly questions arise
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of mechanical assembly, industrial equipment, or hands-on trade experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Some familiarity with plumbing connections — pipes, fittings, valves — helpful but not required
  • Basic awareness of heating or cooling/refrigeration systems a plus
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Stable work history required — minimum 1–2 years in previous roles
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Why This Role

  • $24–$26/hr — flexible upward for the right candidate and experience
  • Monday through Friday, 7AM–3:30PM — consistent schedule, no weekends
  • Clean, organized indoor manufacturing environment
  • Contract to hire — real path to permanent employment
  • Established, stable company that has been in business since 1961
Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
