Description

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Assemblers who will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, modifying industrial equipment while ensuring products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, modification, and refurbishment of generators, power generation equipment, and related products.

  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies, including pumps, trailers, concrete mixers, and other equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work orders, schematics, and engineering specifications.

  • Fit, align, mount, fasten, drill, grind, tap, ream, and countersink components using hand and power tools.

  • Gather and stage materials, tools, and components needed for production.

  • Clean, lubricate, inspect, and maintain mechanical components throughout the assembly process.

  • Perform basic electrical wiring and soldering as required.

  • Apply labels, decals, and identification markings to finished equipment.

  • Inspect completed assemblies to verify quality, tolerances, and engineering specifications.

  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and perform adjustments or repairs when needed.

  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead hoists, cranes, and other material handling equipment.

  • Assist with inventory by identifying material shortages and requesting needed supplies.

  • Support and mentor team members when needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.

  • Participate in safety meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and company training programs.

  • Follow all quality standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing, production, equipment assembly, or refurbishment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, drill presses, measuring instruments, forklifts, hoists, and cranes.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.

  • Basic electrical wiring and soldering experience is a plus.

  • Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures.
