Mechanical Assembler

We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team responsible for assembling and testing enclosed drive gearboxes. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with mechanical assembly experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. The role involves assembling gearboxes and subassemblies, reading blueprints, using measuring tools, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining quality and safety standards.ScheduleDay Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Overtime may be required based on workload)$22.89 - $28.43 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesAssemble and test enclosed drive gearboxesPerform gearbox and subassembly assembly operationsRead assembly blueprints and use calipers and other precision measuring instrumentsRecord measurements and production data accuratelyTroubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary correctionsMaintain organized work areas, equipment, and toolsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesCollaborate with Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve production issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly and testing areasAssist with process improvements and team problem-solvingPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAt least 1 year of mechanical assembly or industrial manufacturing experienceMaterial handling experience requiredAbility to read assembly blueprints in EnglishStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailKnowledge of shop safety practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to cross-train and adapt to changing prioritiesComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPhysicalRequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsComfortable working in varying factory temperaturesWilling to work overtime and occasional weekends as neededHiring ProcessIn-person interviewsImmediate start available for qualified candidatesPlease note that there is a background check and a drug screening for the position.
