Mechanical Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Hudson, New Hampshire for an approximately five-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will assemble and disassemble mechanical subassemblies and systems by following detailed work instructions and process sheets. The assembler will work with small mechanical components using hand and power tools while completing precision assembly and minor repair tasks.

Required Skills

• At least two years of high school or trade school education.
• Experience or familiarity with basic hand and power tools used for mechanical assembly.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and process sheets for assembly and minor repair work.
• Fine motor skills sufficient to place, position, and maneuver small components.
• Ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks, including tying knots with lacing.
• Ability to complete mechanical assemblies using standard and specialized tools.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work the specified 2nd-shift schedule.

What You'll Do

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical subassemblies and systems according to specific instructions.
• Complete mechanical assemblies using a variety of mechanical parts.
• Use standard and specialized hand and power tools during assembly operations.
• Position and manipulate small parts requiring precision and fine motor control.
• Perform repeated lacing and knot-tying tasks as required by assembly procedures.
• Follow process sheets, work instructions, and established mechanical assembly procedures.
• Perform minor repairs to mechanical assemblies as directed.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the assembly process.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 2nd shift, Monday Thursday.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week.
• 3:30 PM 2:00 AM.
• Overtime may be required.

Pay

• $28.03 per hour.
