Job Summary:
The Intermediate Mechanical Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
- Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
- Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives on a daily basis.
- Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
- Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
- Use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires 2(+) years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to work under a microscope as needed.
- Ability to work with small hand tools.
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
- Must be able to work OT as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Electronics assembly and inspection experience.
- Soldering skills preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
