ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler I for a precision manufacturing company specializing in OEM laser and medical device components, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in precision mechanical assembly and quality inspection looking to further their career in precision manufacturing.
Perform precision mechanical assembly of small components (0.5 to 4 inches), including bearing installation and adhesive application
Inspect products and identify non-conformances using test and measurement equipment
Read, understand, and follow work instructions, BOMs, and assembly drawings with attention to detail
Use hand tools safely and maintain workstation cleanliness and organization per 5S standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with quality standards and on-time delivery
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and dexterity with small components; comfortable using hand tools
Team player with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and safety/chemical awareness
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using magnifier or microscope for precision visual inspection
SMT soldering or light soldering experience
Lean Manufacturing, 5S environments, or QMS standards (ISO 9001) familiarity
Opto-mechanical or precision instrument assembly experience
