    Description

    Summary:

    • Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand-alone products and products containing printed circuit board assemblies. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery or applicable materials.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
    • Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun
    • Maintain inventory of product in work stations
    • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
    • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
    • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
    • Adhere to all requirements and Board Handling.
    • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components' moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
    • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
    • Identify hardware, wire assemblies, sheet metal and plastic components.
    • Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.
    • Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
    • Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
    • Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEO Tech's various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
    • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
    • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

    Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system
    • Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification preferred
    • Ability to train to IPC-A-610
    • Sense of urgency, successful at meeting deadlines
