Description
Summary:
Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand-alone products and products containing printed circuit board assemblies. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery or applicable materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Adhere to all requirements and Board Handling.
Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components' moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
Identify hardware, wire assemblies, sheet metal and plastic components.
Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.
Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEO Tech's various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system
Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification preferred
