Mechanical Assembler II (Onsite)
Mechanical Assembler II (Onsite) performs a wide variety of mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble difficult and complex units.
Hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 7am - 3:30pm, OT as required and determined by business needs.
This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
What You Will Do
- Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
- Utilize written instructions to accurately complete assembly tasks
- Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently and safely
- Perform quality checks on work, identifying and recording any product defects
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a productive work environment
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Capable of working in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day
- Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools
- Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure high-quality assembly
- Precision in following engineering specifications and instructions
- Ability to troubleshoot and rework products as needed to meet quality standards
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols
