Mechanical Assembler II

Location: Vista, CA 92081 (100% Onsite)
Pay: $30.00–$34.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM–2:00 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Overtime: Approximately 5 hours/week with occasional weekends

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Assembler II professionals to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and packaging of electrical panels, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires experience with panel wiring, terminal crimping, soldering, and interpreting technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble electrical panels, cable assemblies, enclosures, and electro-mechanical systems
• Perform terminal crimping, panel wiring, and soldering
• Read and interpret work instructions, electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation
• Install components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections on completed assemblies
• Record production data and complete build documentation accurately
• Conduct peer quality checks and identify assembly issues or process improvements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
• Follow all manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures
• Cross-train and assist with additional production activities as needed
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment when required

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, or production experience
• Experience with:
  • Electrical panel wiring
  • Terminal crimping
  • Soldering
  • Cable and electro-mechanical assembly
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, continuity testers, and measuring tools
• Basic computer skills for production documentation
• Knowledge of ESD procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or on a team
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends

Preferred

• 3–5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
• Experience assembling electrical panels or complex systems
• Forklift or scissor lift experience
• Experience with system testing and troubleshooting
• Prototype or R&D manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with 5S manufacturing practices

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing facility (no air conditioning)
• Indoor and outdoor work as needed
• Exposure to machinery, forklifts, scissor lifts, heat, dust, and noise
• Work around X-ray scanning equipment and lead-containing components
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around large assemblies
