Mechanical Assembler

We are currently seeking a 1st shift Mechanical Assembler for our job shop. Hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares work to be completed by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications and parts.

2. Examines connections for correct fit, fastens parts and subassemblies and assembles components.

3. Checks on stock level while maintaining inventory supplies.

4. Set up and test product with minimal supervision

5. Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

6. Comply with company policies and procedures; observe safety rules and regulations, reporting hazardous conditions and unsafe practices to Supervisor.

7. Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Working Conditions:

1. Job shop environment.

2. Rapidly changing priorities

3. Forty-hour work week (potential for overtime dependent on workload).

4. Safety shoes/glasses required

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate Include:

• Basic working knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics

• A good mechanical aptitude

• Basic wire skills

• The ability to test product and interpret assembly drawings and schematics

• Proficient in setup and product testing

• Analysis and troubleshooting of product failures
