Our Client, a leading manufacturer in the rail transportation industry, is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join their production team in Winston-Salem, NC. No prior assembly experience is required. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, a stable work history, and a professional attitude are encouraged to apply. Experience in mechanical assembly, machining, automotive repair, maintenance, construction, or other hands-on technical fields is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Assemble locomotive engine parts and components according to work instructions and specifications
- Perform testing and inspection of assembled components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and standard work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and production equipment
- Perform basic math calculations related to measurements and assembly processes
- Follow quality, safety, and production standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- Meet production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions
- Basic math skills
- Strong attendance record and reliability
- Professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
