Job Description
We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our customers group in the lighting & optics area. This would be a temp-to-perm arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions to accurately assemble components and subassemblies
- Perform bench-level mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain compliance with company standards
- Complete work according to production schedules with minimal supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement efforts
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or production setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
