Volt is immediately hiring Day & Night Shift - Mechanical Assembler Technicians in Round Rock, TX.

As a Mechanical Assembler Technician, you will: 

  • Knowledge of using Manual Tools, Power Tools, Torque Tools and Cables while precisely following technical blueprint instructions.
  • Completion of Mechanical assembly and cabling. You will physically mount unpowered servers into steel racks and run data cables - while everything is completely unplugged and turned off.
  • Routing network lines or connecting basic power components inside a server rack, handling insulated wires, switches, and network hardware into server racks.
  • Operate Machinery: Use production machinery and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and replace worn parts on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot, Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or IT operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform multiple core phases of the end-to-end systems integration process.
  • Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure strict Quality Control standards.
  • Maintain accurate Record Keeping logs of production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, maintain a secure workspace, and promptly report hazards.
  • Work closely with the production and quality teams with minimal supervision to resolve issues.
  • Partner with Leadership and Collaborate with operations leads and supervisors to ensure continuous production flow and process improvement.

This is a Full-time, Temp to Hire opportunity! 

Day Schedules: (Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour)

Shift A: 6:00am – 6:00pm - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Every other Wednesday

Shift B: 6:00am – 6:00pm - Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Night Schedules: (Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour)

Shift C: 6:00pm – 6:00am - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Every other Wednesday

Shift D: 6:00pm – 6:00am - Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to read/write/speak in English
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift equipment weighing up to 35lbs
  • Knowledge of basic manual tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting Skills
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Knowledge in either hardware assembly, data center-rack integration, or electronics manufacturing is preferred!

 

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00per hour(Depending on Schedule)
