Mechanical Assembly Technician
Pay Rate
$20 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 5:00am-3:30pm

Mechanical Assembly Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished equipment using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
- Ability to read measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and production reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school or vocational training in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field.
- Experience with conveyor systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing assembly.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
