Role Description The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Wisconsin, United States. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting mechanical commissioning activities for building systems and industrial facilities, ensuring they operate according to design intent and project requirements. Daily tasks include reviewing mechanical drawings and specifications, developing commissioning plans and test procedures, overseeing functional performance tests, and coordinating with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve issues. The engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical system performance problems, verify integration with electrical and controls systems, and contribute to quality assurance documentation and reports. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, supporting schedule and budget adherence, and promoting safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards.

• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in commissioning mechanical systems for industrial or commercial facilities.

• Skills in Electrical Testing and Testing of building systems to verify performance and compliance.

• Experience working as or with Commissioning Engineers, including planning and executing commissioning processes.

• Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of mechanical and related electrical systems.
• \n
• Understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals as they relate to mechanical systems integration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Familiarity with construction environments, safety practices, and relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, building codes).

• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications, and in preparing clear commissioning documentation and reports.
• \n
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with project teams, contractors, and clients on-site.
• \n
• Ability to work full time on-site in Wisconsin, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing project demands.

• Data Center or Semiconductor construction background preferred.
