Mechanical Department Manager

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

• Manage Mechanical Engineering department<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

  o   <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee staff workload<\/span><\/span>
  <\/p>

  o   <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Coordinate Mechanical/HVAC projects with MEP teams and other disciplines to ensure timely completion<\/span><\/span>
  <\/p>

  • Review/approve scopes, budgets and schedules<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Assess project/financial performance<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Prepare construction drawings/specifications<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Build/maintain client relationships<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Provide technical leadership, production/scheduling, quality control and cost proposals<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with business development<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Facilitate/attend construction administration meetings<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Review contractor submittals and provide feedback<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

     <\/span><\/span>
    <\/p>

    Requirements:<\/span><\/span>
    <\/p>

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • 18+ years of overall MEP experience with a strong focus on HVAC projects<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>8+ years of project management experience<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Prior experience working with local municipalities/government agencies<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experience managing Mechanical/HVAC staff at various levels<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

       <\/span><\/span>
      <\/p>

      Salary is commensurate with experience.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/p>
