    Description

    Mission Description Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. Focusing on commercial and military aircrafts, NAT provides first class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue-Chip customers. In the role of Mechanical Design Engineer II you will play a pivotal part on our Engineering team.Responsibilities Design function: research, data acquisition, and engineering generation to produce engineering product (parts list, drawing, documents, etc.).Ensure design content conforms to the company's quality system procedures, the customer statement of work, and applicable certification requirements.Prepare engineering product using applicable computer tools and programs while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.Ensure NAT's drawings and documents meet the standards established by the NAT quality system, customer requirements, and the applicable certification authority.Grow in experience by accepting tasks in multiple disciplines of the aerospace industry, including interiors and structures design disciplines.Minimal guidance required to accomplish tasks.Knowledge / Experience Minimum age 18 years.Four‑year engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Software Engineering) or equivalent industry experience.Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.Comfortable with assisting less experienced employees in the production of engineering product.Skills / Abilities Drawing management.Troubleshooting/problem solving.Ability to work independently or within a team.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Understanding of customer's expectation.Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure.Superior attention to detail.Ability to mentor less experienced engineering personnel in field of expertise.Minimal coordination with customers, suppliers, and inter‑departmental personnel required.Benefits Our suite of comprehensive benefits include health care (medical, dental and vision), life insurance, 401(k) savings plans with company match, paid time off, Safran Perks with BenefitHub Employee Discounts & Rewards Marketplace for consumer products/services and more!Career Development Safran is committed to providing internal mobility to our employees.
