You can trust Compass to point the way to the most efficient solution.JOB DESCRIPTION: Compass Systems and Sales, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. This position is primarily responsible for researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:Researching and analyzing data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or applicationDesigning products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systemsPlanning and directing engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systemsDirecting and coordinating fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specificationsCoordinating operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipmentDesigning products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and softwareEvaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctionsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university2 or more years of related experienceA combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degreeStrong mechanical aptitudeProject management and analytical skillsExperience working in Autodesk InventorKnowledge of Microsoft applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational, planning, and leadership skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
