    Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics | Cincinnati, OHComfort Systems USA Ohio is growing our Cincinnati team, and we're looking for a knowledgeable, practical, and customer-focused Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics to support our Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and surrounding metro area.This role is ideal for a mechanical/HVAC engineering professional who enjoys being close to the work, partnering with sales and operations, and helping customers understand the best path forward for their mechanical systems.As the Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics, you will serve as the engineering expert in the room. You will partner closely with Sales, Project Managers, Estimators, Foremen, Supervisors, and field teams to evaluate customer needs, assess existing HVAC and hydronic systems, and develop practical engineered solutions for construction, retrofit, replacement, and design-build opportunities.This is not a traditional engineering role where your work stays on paper. You will help shape customer solutions by providing technical guidance on:Hydronic systems, including chilled water, hot water, and steamBoilers, pumps, cooling towers, piping, and ventilationSystem upgrades and replacementsRetrofit and design-build opportunitiesEnergy efficiency and performance improvementsThis role is a strong fit for someone with experience in:Mechanical engineeringCommercial or industrial HVAC systemsHydronic system design or troubleshootingMechanical construction, retrofit, or design-build projectsMEP or mechanical contracting environmentsEngineering support for sales, project, or field teamsWhat You'll DoServe as a primary mechanical/HVAC engineering resource for the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky marketPartner with Sales to evaluate customer needs and provide technical direction for proposed solutionsReview existing system conditions, drawings, equipment, and customer requirementsDevelop practical, cost-effective engineered solutions for HVAC and hydronic systemsSupport estimates, scopes of work, equipment selections, layouts, and proposal developmentCollaborate with Project Managers and field leadership from concept through construction, startup, and closeoutHelp customers understand technical options, system performance, lifecycle considerations, and long-term reliabilityWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC and hydronic systemsExperience with chilled water, hot water, steam, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, piping, and ventilationExperience supporting mechanical construction, retrofit, design-build, or system improvement projectsAbility to assess existing systems and develop practical, field-aware solutionsWorking knowledge of load calculations, equipment selection, system design, and applicable codes and standardsStrong communication, customer-facing, and problem-solving skillsExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Carrier HAP, Trace 3D Plus, or similar tools preferredMust be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorshipMust currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metro areaWhy Join Comfort Systems USA Ohio?Competitive base salary based on experience and qualificationsComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company contributionPaid time off and company holidaysCompany-provided tools and technologyTraining, professional development, and continuing education opportunitiesOpportunity to grow with a respected mechanical and building solutions organization backed by a strong national platformIf you're a mechanical/HVAC engineer who enjoys solving real building challenges, working alongside sales and field teams, and seeing your work come to life, we'd love to connect.#J-18808-Ljbffr
