Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
7+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably for electronic enclosures or networking products.
Strong proficiency in Creo (NX experience is an added advantage).
Hands-on experience with sheet metal design for medium- to high-volume manufacturing.
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Experience designing components using sheet metal, plastic injection molding, and die-cast processes.
Experience working with PCB mechanical integration and IDF file exchange.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of EMI/EMC, thermal, and safety design considerations.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in a product development environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier collaboration.
Experience designing networking, telecom, or electronic hardware products is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electronic enclosures, networking chassis, and associated hardware components.
Create innovative mechanical designs using sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast materials while ensuring compliance with EMI, safety, and regulatory standards.
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Creo (NX experience is a plus).
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to create production-ready designs.
Perform 2D tolerance stack-up analysis for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and PCB design teams by exchanging and validating IDF files to ensure mechanical compatibility.
Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve design, production, and field-related issues.
Participate in and lead peer reviews and cross-functional design reviews to ensure design quality and manufacturability.
Support product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
