Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role:
The customer is looking for a hands-on mechanical design engineer who can design complex semiconductor/industrial equipment, particularly sheet-metal and machined components, and take designs through manufacturing.
Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 12 years of experience designing semiconductor or industrial automation equipment, strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills, hands-on sheet-metal and precision-machined component design, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, BOM/product structuring, DFX/DFMEA, and manufacturing experience.

• Good experience in product structuring and BOM management
• Knowledge /hands-onn experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in Industrial Automation and Semiconductor Equipment design.
• Knowledge of clean room compatible materials and clean room requirements
• Knowledge of vacuum systems and gas systems (added advantage)
• Knowledge of system cooling & water flow analysis (added advantage)
• Experience in DFX & DFMEA
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in concept generation
• Experience in design and detailed drawing creation of Sheetmetal and machined components of complex & precise parts
• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience in Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis
• Ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings
• Good hands-on experience in SolidWorks & AutoCAD
