Position Overview
This role is responsible for designing and developing custom machinery from initial concept through final production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable equipment that supports efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical systems and components using CAD software
Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations to validate designs and ensure performance standards are met
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
Partner with suppliers and vendors to source components and support system integration
Specify and select mechanical elements such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and shafts based on application requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Hands-on experience in machinery or equipment design
Proficiency with CAD platforms such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Strong foundation in mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Working knowledge of welding methods and fabrication practices
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
