Mechanical Design Engineer

Payrate: $51.50 - $51.50/hr.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design – Component modification ownership including: Review of sourcing and supplier quotes for proposed cost reduction modifications, development of cost paredo models using apriori or similar tools, mechanical design of hardware, model/drawing definition, creation of PLM BoMs and change instructions, hardware procurement and manufacturing plus assembly support. Work with PDE drafting, sourcing, AME manufacturing, aero engineers, heat transfer, MPE materials, repair engineering and value engineering teams. Interface directly with Client suppliers to review cost reduction ideas, cost impact and manufacturability limits.
• Manufacturing – shop support/interface for dispositioning non-conformances, process supplier qualifications, review SDRs, follow modified parts into final assembly and fleet launch.

 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $51.50 - $51.50/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
