Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Develop both conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for automated systems and integrated work cells.
  • Engineer mechanical components, subassemblies, and custom modifications to industrial automation equipment.
  • Design pneumatic systems and specify related components.
  • Select appropriate sensors and electrical components to support system functionality.
  • Perform engineering analyses and calculations to validate structural integrity, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Produce accurate, timely designs using 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and technical documentation tools.
  • Prepare technical content for customer proposals and project deliverables.
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, and documentation throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple active design projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to automation equipment and mechanical design.
  • Represent the engineering team with professionalism and a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Perform additional engineering support tasks as needed.

Profile

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
    • 3-5 years of experience designing industrial automation equipment, machinery, or mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred).
    • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a project team.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to engineering accuracy.
